CHRISTOLOGISCHEN KONSTELLATION: EKLESIOLOGI DALAM PERSPEKTIF ESTETIKA TEOLOGI HANS URS VON BALTHASAR

Abstract

The Church is a mystery. It will be discussed  both in theoretical and practical levels. In Theological Aesthetics, Hans Urs von Balthasar  presented Jesus Christ as Father’s Form that clearly revealed the Father. Having based on personal experiences about this Form, some people, who had ever seen and believed Him, formed a community which, then, called Church. Those who get involved in this community would live together. Form becomes the  reference for von Balthasar to build an ecclesiological  aesthetics. After accumulating each personal experience, he forms a Christological constellation which shall be summarized into various concepts of the church from historical and eschatological points of view. This will inspire the laymen to play roles for the sake of glorifying God in the history of the world.
