Abstract

Human being cannot be separated from society that surrounds him or her. As social being a man does not live alone but he or she lives in interaction and communication with others. The means of communication with others is language; this is the first and foremost function of language as a means of social communication. Language is a unique ability of human being. There is no group or community that lives without language, but this fact raises question: “Why do we find a lot of language varieties?” The answer is that language varieties are a consequence of social variation of speech communities and of variety of language functions. With regard to the speakers, a language can be divided into idiolects, dialects, chronolects and sociolects, whereas if the language functions are considered, a language comprises functiolects, styles and registers. Language varieties are a reflection of human being and human society variation.
